Surround Sound from All Sources
As amazing as it seems, the YSP800 can actually deliver multi-channel sound that surrounds listeners the same way that sound from front, center and rear speakers does. DVD movies and other digital sources sound just the way they are supposed to. Dolby Pro Logic II is included, so even 2-channel TV sound can be heard in glorious multi-channel surround.
Built-in Digital Amp
The YSP800 has a powerful and efficient digital amplifier built in that powers the 21 beam drivers and two woofers. There is no need to purchase an additional amplifier or receiver, so the system is compact and economical.
Simple Connection and Flexible Placement
Connecting the YSP800 is much simpler than with conventional home theatre systems, because multiple speaker cables are not necessary. Placement is flexible – it can be positioned above or below the display in the front-centre of the room, or in either of the front corners. It is compact enough that space should not be a problem in almost any setting.
IntelliBeam Automated System Calibration
This exclusive feature ensures optimum multi-channel sound reproduction with accurate image location. By monitoring and analyzing the sound with the microphone included with the YSP800, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimizing the level and frequency response of each beam. It also offers Direct Start function via remote unit. This makes initial setup both extremely simple and acoustically perfect.
Two Volume Modes
During low-volume listening, such as late at night, dynamic range suffers and you may miss some sounds. The Night Listening Enhancer offers two settings, Cinema and Music, with three-level selectability, which will ensure that you don’t miss movie dialogue or quiet passages, or lose overall surround spaciousness. There is also a TV Equal Volume mode to prevent sudden bursts of loud sound such as from commercials.
