My company was the manufacturer for Xperinet before they went out of business. Orion Client compliments the video storage capability of MIRV servers. Orion pulls video or audio content over your Ethernet network from the MIRV server to any location in the house, creating a powerful audio/video distribution system. Orion’s advanced heat pipe architecture gives you powerful HD decoding capability up to 1080p in a chassis that is quiet enough to sit in your master bedroom. The Orion can load a DVD from its integrated DVD-ROM drive up to the server. So you never have to find your way to the server closet to load a movie. It can be done from any room in the house where you have a MIRV Orion. MIRV Features All MIRV servers are capable of streaming content to a Taurus or Orion client to expand the simultaneous playback capability from the video and music library. With the MIRV system you will enjoy the following features: Video Upload Upload of video content stored on Blu-ray or DVDs and music stored on CDs Simultaneous upload while viewing/listening Original video quality is preserved by storing video uncompressed Coming: DVD Loader for Dealers who wish to provide bulk upload of DVDs NTSC video capture of VHS tapes to library (option) Library Features Automated database information captured from the web including cover art Search by title, genre, actor, MPAA rating, or year of production Password protection of content by MPAA rating Restricted library listings by zone to prevent objectionable content from being visible in the library on certain zones. Storage RAID arrays protect data in the event of drive failure Storage capacities represent actual available storage, not aggregate disk space. For example, the 2.0 TB array has 7 x 400GB drives. Two drives are used for RAID 6 parity calculations, leaving 5 drives x 400 GB = 2.0 TB of actual storage available for your movies. DON’T BE FOOLED by other systems that quote total drive size rather than net available storage. Audio / Video Playback VGA, HDMI, Component Video, and S-Video connectors Scales video playback to HD resolutions including 1080p and a host of other 4x3 and 16x9 aspect ratios Audio output options include a THX-certified Dolby Digital 7.1 decoding system; Stereo outputs w/ 107db s/n ratio; or S/PDIF co-axial digital output Supports Dolby Digital and DTS on S/PDIF output User Control Control via RS-232, IP, or an On-Screen Display with included IR remote control Bundled with wireless keyboard and mouse for ease of data entry and system control Works with your favorite control panel such as Crestron, AMX, Vantage, etc.
