This is a Trimble CM3 ("Core Module") ideal for your hobby use. Multiple output protocols - TSIP, TAIP, and NMEA can be individually selected, or set up in any combination, or one or both of two output serial ports. Item requires a +5VDC power supply. Data stream output is TTL. Antenna connector is SMB and biased at +5V, so you can use almost any commercial 5V GPS antenna you want. Contact seller if you want a Trimble SMB magnetic mount antenna, available separately. Dimensions of module board are 3.25" long x 1.83" wide x 0.58" high. Or, for our metric friends, 82.6 mm x 46.5 mm x 14.7 mm. The weight is 1.3 ounces, or 36.4 grams. This module is perfect for use with APRS and in particular, the TinyTrak line of modems. Take the 5v output from TinyTrak to power the CM3, and use the TTL output directly for your GPS data input to the TinyTrak. Of course, you are welcome to homebrew this into anything you want...but this works great with TinyTrak. For more technical information, see the Trimble spec book at http://trl.trimble.com/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-1883/aceiii.pdf Seller can provide the Trimble diagnostic and configuration software after completion of sale. Buy-it-Now price includes shipping to any U.S. address via Insured Priority Mail. If you purchase via Buy-it-Now, please wait for seller to send you payment invoice so you don't get charged shipping by PayPal.
