churchmany Store Sony Hi Definition KP-57HW40 57" Rear Projection TV HD You are bidding on a one-owner hi-def television set. I bought this new from HH Gregg in the Spring of 2002. This unit cost me $2500 at the time. This TV has been taken care of very well. I treat my electronics like they were my children. I have used it sparingly since then, and have finally outgrown it all-together. For the past 3 years the only time I would use this set was to either watch Colts football games (so about 3 hours a week for 18 weeks) or to occassionally play video games (which is very little). I never ever watched TV on a regular basis on it. I only used the component (hi-def) hook ups, one for my xbox 360 the other for my hi-def cable box. I never used the other inputs. So the lamp has very little time on it. This TV has been taken care of very well. I treat my electronics like they were my children. Comes from a non-smoking, kid-free household. Let me get to the quality of the tv set. It is true Hi-def. It can display 1080i, 720p. And the hi-def image is stunning. Watching football on it was a true pleasure. This was Sony's third generation CRT Projection TV, and it began to really get the formula right. It has 2 component inputs, s-video, and I believe 3 composite inputs. It has PiP. The PiP is great, because it can be set up side by side. It's like having to 32 tv's right next to one another. I used it all the time during the football season to watch two games at once. I have NEVER used the speakers on the TV. I have always run the audio through my stereo system. So basically, the speakers are just like new. Let me get to the few negatives about this TV. First, one of the caster wheels broke off when I was moving it into my house. It doesn't affect the TV performance at all. The only time you would notice is if you were moving the TV around, the right end will dip a little. I believe I still have the broken wheel, and will include it in the purchase. The 2nd negative is the TV's convergance is getting a little out of whack. This is not a big problem, and can be fixed by having the TV fine tuned (by either you or a professional). When you watch standard def cable it doesn't look very good. As I said, I only used it for Hi-Def viewing. The third negative is the viewing angle isn't super wide. Again, not a big deal. You won't be able to stand and watch the TV very well, but who stands when they watch TV? I will provide the original factory remote, the original factory manual, and if I can locate it, I'll even give you my receipt for the original purchase. Again, I treated this TV very well, and it was used very rarely. Since this TV is used, it is being sold AS-IS. There are no guarantees or warranties expressed or implied. All sales will be final. I will only accept PayPal. I WILL NOT accept cash, check, or money orders. Again, I WILL ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL. Payment is expected within 3 days after the end of the auction. This item is available for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. I will not ship this item. Please do not ask. It is free if you pick it up from me. If you need to, I can deliver it within a 20 mile radius of Indianapolis for $40. Delivery will only be provided after payment has been made via Paypal. You are going to love this TV. You are getting a fantastic hi-def TV at a phenomenal price.
