This is an over the head style monaural headset for telephones with volume control.
It was purchased to connect to an office phone so the receptionist would not have to hold the phone up to her ear - but was never used (i forgot to deliver it - doh).
It comes with an American power supply - but an Aussie one would be easy to find (you probably have one in a box somewhere).
