SonicBlue 5040 DVR with Commercial Advance and Time Shift (Action Pause)
This thing is sweet with a lot of features, Compatible with Cable/DirecTV/Dish Network/"On-Air" TV programming. It skips commercials, pauses programming for those pesky "action breaks". Will control 2nd device with IR-Blaster cable add-on. Unit worked fine on power-up. I hooked it up and it asked for a program download right away, I clicked no and powered it back off (This is normal power-up process for these units). I'm not sure of the subscription status of this unit. The unit Serial # is K2CA0139567 so the key should be RTV-5040K2CA0139567. I did some internet research and apparently the 5000 series have a lot of extra features that are not availible on the 5500 models anymore. You can share your videos over the internet with other replay users using a broadband connection. You can also download your videos to PC using a platform independant Java client. That makes it easy to burn/transfer videos to your ipod or another type of personal video device.
