Grundig Yacht Boy 650 brought over from Europe. How can I be sure? No FCC labels or warnings on the rear and the orange "power" button says "AUS".
110/127 volt plug on side of unit. Has digital counter display that turn into a clock when unit is powered off. Also has an alarm function for a chime or
a clock radio function for your favorite station to come on at the same time every day. All buttons, knobs and functions work well. Antenna not
broken or bent. Sounds good and has good reception. volume slide needs to be cleaned, its a little crunchy.
some small scratches on analog frequency plastic cover (clear plastic over the band display)
One problem I have is that the batteries for some reason only last for a week! when the unit is turned off you can still hear a hum from the speaker.
So I remove a battery for now to keep them fresh between uses. I havent used it in quite a while as I have a transistor Zenith transoceanic and
a later model digital Sony, which also may fall vicitim to the sound quality and robust nature of the Zenith. (it has a lot of duct tape, but I love it)
I will also be listing some small pocket and portable AM transistor sets today. May also list a box of vaccum tubes
