A great portable TV--with the cable you need for HD!
I bought this Casio portable TV years ago to use with a Super Nintendo Entertainment System which I was using in my rock-and-roll band. No kidding! So I needed to get the adaptor that allows this TV to plug into any RCA source.
Later I plugged it into a VCR and was able to get the full range of my basic cable programs on it. But for several years now, I've just kept it in the kitchen and used it to pick up the news from a broadcast channel a few times a year when I was cooking.
Today I tested it by plugging it into the back of our cable box. Worked perfectly!
What does that mean? After February 2009, when the entire USA broadcast TV spectrum goes to HD, anyone with one of these little analog portable TVs will not be able to use it--unless it comes with the adaptor cable, in which case you can plug it into your cable box or VCR or DVD player. I have not seen the converter boxes for broadcast HD but if they have an RCA type connection for audio and video, you ought to be able to use it for them also.
This TV is in good condition: picture and sound are perfect, tuner works OK tho' that's going to be outmoded in six months. The exterior shows signs of use--lots of little dings and smudges, no serious cracks or chips. There originally was a little plastic stand that flipped out on the back so you could stand it up, but that broke off long ago. AC converter plug, as pictured, is included also.
Terms and Conditions because good contracts make good neighbors.
This item is sold used, as-is. It's working as described today; you understand that used merchandise comes cheaper because it's got an unpredictable life expectancy.
I plan to ship via USPS priority mail for a flat S&H of $10.00 to USA only.. Local pick-up is fine but to be fair I must still charge a small handling fee. If you want a different shipper that's fine so long as you pay for any extra charges and it's not inconvenient for me; if you're from a different nation and you want to bid, email me first so we can agree on S&H charges--I regret that ebay has made shipping too complicated.
