Now you can CONDITION your battery as you CHARGE it! EXCELLENT for regular battery maintenance, IDEAL for preserving batteries in long-term storage! The patented BatteryMINDer is the #1 charger-maintainer-conditioner. Safely Charge - Maintain - Condition all starter, deep cycle, maintenance-free, sealed agm, gelled or dry-type lead acid battery, regardless of size or make. In addition to charging, also removes (dissolves) harmful sulfur buildup using safe, US Patented electronic pulse technology. Guaraneed to never overcharge any battery. Comes with Qwik Connect/Disconnect Battery Clips Ring Terminal Assembly with replaceable fuse. We have a stock of these items priced to clear! U.S. Patent number 6,184,650 B.1-Feb. 6, 2001 (other patents pending) 12 Volts, 1 Amp Model 12112 A question was asked: How can I see for myself if de-sulfation is working? Here's a test you can try. It takes some time but it tells you exactly how much extra life the desulfator of the BatteryMINDer can give your old battery. Charge a battery a few years old with a conventional charger. To see the beneficial de-sulfation effect, use a battery that would definitely have some reduced capacity due to sulfation. Ensure that it does not have broken internal plates or other damage. After charging with the regular charger, let it sit for several days to allow the surface charge to disperse. Then, using a hydrometer, check the specific gravity - carefully, that's sulfuric acid in there! If you have a voltmeter, check the voltage as well and note the measurements. A 100% charged battery has a specific gravity of about 1.270 at 12.7V, 75% charged is about 1.250 at 12.5V. If, after charging a 12V battery the specific gravity is less than 1.270, you know right away it's a reduced-capacity battery. Now, hook up the BatteryMINDer. It will charge up the battery as much as it can, and once it has charged it up as much as possible, the light starts flashing when the de-sulfation starts automatically (or you can hit the green button to start de-sulfation right away). This process takes time to see the effect, but for a test, leave it a couple of weeks. Take off the BatteryMINDer and wait several days to allow any surface charge to dissipate, then check the specific gravity and check the voltage. If there is more sulfur in the acid than before due to being forced off the battery plates by the de-sulfation, the specific gravity and voltage will be higher that it was after the conventional charge! The de-sulfation takes very little power, much less than when charging, so is ideal for long-term maintenance when storing a battery, such as parking an RV over winter. Using the BatteryMINDer on a regular basis keeps batteries in regular use in top form. Use the clamp connectors to connect to battery terminals so the connector is accessible through the vehicle grille so you can easily connect it from time to time. For heavy equipment and farm equipment, 12V batteries are EXPENSIVE - use the BatteryMINDer whenever the vehicle is parked near 110V to keep the sulfation down and extend the life. How is it you haven't heard of low-cost battery de-sulfation before hearing about the BatteryMINDer? I think the answer is that most battery vendors would rather sell new batteries than a tool that helps batteries live a longer life! If you live in an area like northern Canada where supply shipments are only by expensive air freight or sealift, keeping batteries alive longer will REALLY save you a lot of money!
